What do you mean by HOT pit passes? Pit passes are issued to those who have a reason for being there, so either press, team or girls (who need two reasons) get in.

Unfair. Unbalanced. Unmedicated.

I know we all have paddock passes with our supertickets ... Isn't pit-road open access before the start of the race Saturday, and after the checkered flag drops?

I don't know about before the race, but after the race, yes pit road is open.  However is it not very "hot" at that time.  I don't believe that Sebring has hot passes for sale.  I would assume that you would have to know someone to get one.  I know at Mid-O, you can had hot passes, but they are not valid during the race for specators.

in years past i used to volunteer and would get a #3 ticket for my four hours of free work. The #3 allowed you into the hot pits during the race. The only rule was you had to wear long pants. I still see people with them and just wondered if you could buy them.

Maybe if you volunteer in timing and scoring? Otherwise, you have to be with a team, I think.

I used to get a Hot Pit pass,.. a friend of mine was a big sponsor with the Jim Pace Team.  I was "Over Crew" and got to go just about anywhere I wanted. And yes,.. always had to have long pants to get in the pits.

That connection got arrested a few years back and is in prison so so much for that,... lol
