The St Pete track is decent as far as 'street' courses go, and I think it will be a good venue for ALMS. I just can't see giving anything related to Tony George's psychotic power trip any appearance of support, up to and including being in attendance at a venue where the 'league' is contaminating the surroundings.
I took pictures at the first 'league' deal there of the 'Bring Back Champ Car' banner plane, I didn't go in to the facility proper, but judging from the rooftops I managed to get on to, I would think T1 and that hairpin on the 'city end' of the course would be cool to see real race cars. Also, the last turn as they accelerate out on to the airstrip would be a potentially interesting place.
It's an alright city from what I could tell, and I hope that once the 'league' ceases its polluting of America (and pawning off a cheap, fake lame imitation of the Indy 500) that the circuit can be used for a weekend where motorsport thrives. As it stands now, it's just a piece of lord Anton's ever-changing, and thoroughly fraudulent, 'vision'.
And y'all thought I just hated grand sham. Heh.
really looking forward to Sebring, just to see those scumbags that think it's ok to participate in king george's lunacy. In no certain order: Honda's Robert Clarke, Adrian Fernandez, Roger Penske, Michael Andretti. If I can make one of them cry, the event is a success, but the reality is that they all need to be reduced to crying, whimpering bitches for their crimes.

Overall, I'd recommend skipping St Pete just on general principle.
