One of the bigger idiots here!

My avatar in this forum is loaded directly from my website.  If I pull the image up in a browser it's nicely sized, but it displays larger on a post.  I've noticed other avatars are distorted too.

Maybe it's just my browser and monitor display settings.  Does the image in the body of this post look smaller than the displayed avatar to anybody else?  They're the same .gif.

You've only got to spend 5 minutes on sebringfans.com to realize that, while many of them may be knowledgeable fans, this race is mostly a drinking binge with some noisy cars in the background.
The focus (on that site) on alcohol consumption is really kind of depressing. I'm kind of amazed (and disappointed) that track management doesn't do anything to try and go a bit more upmarket.
If I wanted to hang with drunken louts I'd go to a British premier league game.

Ditto on the avatar's...  Mine appears distorted, should look like:

'Course, Sack is probably busy working that and hundreds of other little issues to ensure that SebringFans.com website is the best it can possibly be...

The new avatar size is 150 pixels x 150 pixels, while the old one was 150 pixels wide and whatever you had tall.  Now it makes everything 150 x 150, distorting your avatar image.

You can resize you avatar on your own, fitting it into a 150 x 150 size.  For mine, I resized the canvas to 150 x 150 and added a grey border to the top and bottom.  Solved the problem for me.

That explains the distortion; now I see that my problem is that the web page isn't designed for 17" monitors at 800x600 pixel resolution--the avatars all have scroll bars.  They don't disappear until I change the setting to 1152x864, which is too small for anyone's eyeballs.

Much better!  Some avatars (yours is one) still have a scroll bar.
