I'm still cleaning dust out of everywhere.  Who was it that said when you blow your nose and black soot comes out?  Damn right you are!

Sebring Snot!

Did you have a Sebring tan too?  You think you've got a nice bronzing but it comes off in the shower.

I was doing laundry this morning and found dried puke on my 1981 Sebring shirt.

You've only got to spend 5 minutes on sebringfans.com to realize that, while many of them may be knowledgeable fans, this race is mostly a drinking binge with some noisy cars in the background.
The focus (on that site) on alcohol consumption is really kind of depressing. I'm kind of amazed (and disappointed) that track management doesn't do anything to try and go a bit more upmarket.
If I wanted to hang with drunken louts I'd go to a British premier league game.

1981?  I'd have thought you'd have washed that by now...  2funny

First time for my group this year also. We are planning on arriving Wednesday morning. Is it a hassle to drive out of the camping area to make a run to the Publix for supplies and get back in easily?

Not a problem really.

Be sure to take your ticket with you.

When you leave the gates they will give you a large paper ticket thing that  has "PASS OUT" imprinted on it,..  One for each person leaving,..  To get back in you have to have your ticket AND the "PASS OUT" Ticket.

On Saturday morning there's more inbound traffic, and there can be quite a wait coming back in.

It's only about a 15 minute drive time to Publix or Wal-Mart each way.
