The server ran out of HD space. It looks like SF.com is taking up 110gb

I might need to clean it up a bit

Did the hacker attack have anything to do with the full hard drive?  I don't understand how this site could take up 110 gigs.

You've only got to spend 5 minutes on sebringfans.com to realize that, while many of them may be knowledgeable fans, this race is mostly a drinking binge with some noisy cars in the background.
The focus (on that site) on alcohol consumption is really kind of depressing. I'm kind of amazed (and disappointed) that track management doesn't do anything to try and go a bit more upmarket.
If I wanted to hang with drunken louts I'd go to a British premier league game.

the jerk somehow put a perl script in the tmp folder that gave him full backdoor access. I think he found a vunerability in phpnuke (that is the content management system running this website)

This is running off the old (repaired) server. Hopefully we patched the hole(s) so it will not be a problem again until after sebring.

We have a new server online. I am not sure what I want to do. I am looking at different Content Management systems. I am leaning toward Mambo. If I do, I might just make it a clean sweep and make everyone reregister. If I can kill all the crap it would make it easier.

Maybe..... I can move the gallery over. But I need to see what happens with the permissions.

I don't know yet. No changes before Sebring, but we will have a fresh start after this race.

I might consider PostNuke or Joomla instead of Mambo.  Check them out.

Also, surely the phpBB database could be saved even as you update your CMS software and migrate that one?  Just a thought.

(By the way, you should be at phpBB 2.0.19)

Nice link!

I have not messed with post nuke since it was in beta. This site was postnuke when i started but it was too buggy.

I have no working knowledge of mambo, it is installable through the plesk.

Thanks for the link! I am open to opinions if you care to share wink
