Hide it!?!? Shit man, I'm always willing to knock back of few with a fellow Yuengling and race fan. I'll look forward to it. Glad to hear you're able to go.

I think that we plan to be fully stocked this year.  By that, I mean everything from wine to Jose Cuervo.  We bought plenty of Grey Goose specifically for the trip.  The only beer you will find at our site will be Yuengling.  Maybe some rolling rock, but I doubt it.

its usually the county, but you can get beer almost anywhere, gas stations, super markets, hell, even drug stores. and liquor only in liquor stores.  but some counties stop selling at 11pm on weekdays (the county road atlanta is in does) and all others its 2am.  but on sat night, all counties stop at 11:45pm.

I am actually from a little town called ringtown right over the mountian from Shenendoah.  I love it out there, but I moved when I was a kid.  I have always love going back to the mountians though.  Damn this flat state of Ohio!!!!!!

it must have been the county i was in then. Last year after sebring, I went with my then girlfriend to visit her family in waycross. We could get beer about anywhere, but i seem to remember there being some really stupid laws regarding liquor, something like if you did have the liquor by friday night or saturday afternoon, you were screwed. But i dont' really remember

I was in a dive bar in Brunswick Ga on a Sunday.  I ordered a beer and the bartender said "do you want popcorn or a hotdog with that.  It's a dollar for either one."  I told him no thanks; he explained that by law I had to order food to get a drink.

You've only got to spend 5 minutes on sebringfans.com to realize that, while many of them may be knowledgeable fans, this race is mostly a drinking binge with some noisy cars in the background.
The focus (on that site) on alcohol consumption is really kind of depressing. I'm kind of amazed (and disappointed) that track management doesn't do anything to try and go a bit more upmarket.
If I wanted to hang with drunken louts I'd go to a British premier league game.

That is pretty funny. is there a minimum on food or would paying 10 cents for a pretzel stick count?

P.S. Which did you get? The popcorn or the hot dog?

I think I had popcorn.  Don't know about the technicalities of the law.

South Carolina requires (or used to require) that only those little airplane bottles of liquor be used to make drinks at a bar.  I think I remember talk about changing that law, so maybe that's no longer true.

Edit:  the law just changed:
