I'm looking but don't see how to do it. I got to 'your account', then 'your info', there's a drop-down for some generic avatars, but I can't find how to put a new one up.
Is there a forum FAQ or help page? I can't find that either. It's probably right in front of my face.

You've only got to spend 5 minutes on sebringfans.com to realize that, while many of them may be knowledgeable fans, this race is mostly a drinking binge with some noisy cars in the background. The focus (on that site) on alcohol consumption is really kind of depressing. I'm kind of amazed (and disappointed) that track management doesn't do anything to try and go a bit more upmarket. If I wanted to hang with drunken louts I'd go to a British premier league game. -the_stig, a ferrarichat.com douchebag

Please be more specific. Bottom of which page? I just spent 15 minutes studying the 'your accounts' options and searching the PHP-Nuke.org site and still can't find anything about avatar uploads.

Thanks, I knew it was going to be right in front of me. What threw me is that the 'Your Account' link and the 'Profile' link are not quite the same thing.

Except you can go to 'your account' then 'my info' and change your forum signature (I added a bunch of carriage returns). It let me pick a generic avatar, but all that did was cancel the one I just uploaded.
