It was slow for a few weeks during the server change, but it's fine now.
Notice how the filter isn't applied to the list of new forum topics on the right margin of the homepage (and in the road rage graphic below)? Seems sort of silly to filter bad words here if it says fucck on the front page.

You've only got to spend 5 minutes on sebringfans.com to realize that, while many of them may be knowledgeable fans, this race is mostly a drinking binge with some noisy cars in the background.
The focus (on that site) on alcohol consumption is really kind of depressing. I'm kind of amazed (and disappointed) that track management doesn't do anything to try and go a bit more upmarket.
If I wanted to hang with drunken louts I'd go to a British premier league game.

Yea the road rage is a graphic..... and the filter does not work on the front becuse it is a XML feed that is post filter......

Hate is such a strong word. Considering the semi-adult content of many of these threads, I don't think people here are easily offended. Sometimes the obscure word swaps like 'dilfering' confuse the writer's intended message.
If it was me, I'd set the filter to change innocuous words to obscenities. Call it a Tourette's Filter.
Now what I do hate is the censorship on the Florida Sportsman forum. I posted to a thread about the 24 hours of Daytona with the comment:
"Grand Am is dumbed-down sporty car racing for the NASCAR masses".
A few days later, after the thread had died and rolled to the second or third page, a moderator edited my post to remove the parenthesis around 'm'.
