this post was deleted without reason on the Speed Insider forums.
I assume bikinis are off-limits.. but funny that - I see a Speed mic & camera zoomed in on a tittie..

Was looking through the program listings for next month -- and only found 1 show that is on Mon-Fri prime time that is of any interest to me - 'Infield Hot Pass: Sebring' (30 min show). Yes, I will have a reason to tune in to Speed during the week! Hooray! (& thanks).

Just like the fast cars, our cameras will run all day and night capturing the hottest action at the track. We may need a MA rating on this one folks!!!! Join INFIELD HOT PASS for a Spring Break endurance party you cant miss.

The Speed cameras zoom in for a closer view..

That's great - I'm assuming the HT bikini contest will be covered as will some of the Green Park fun (though I hear it was a little more tame than usual this year).

But I am hoping that the Speed cameras will also focus on some of the racing action (ex: fans view of the track, from the sidelines and from the scaffolding), the fan-autograph session, the vendors with all their great memorabilia etc, some shots of some of the cool Sebring Mobiles and Crazy Constructions, Dress-Up Fans, etc.

I haven't seen 'Infield Hot Pass' before as I believe until now it only dealt with NASCAR events. However, for a while now I've been suggesting a "fan's view of an event" type show that travels the country and focuses on a different track & different type of racing each week - but one that focuses on the facilities and why fans love to come out to that particular track (and not soley on the off-track activities). So I'll have to reserve judgement until I've watched it, but this seems to be a step in the right direction.

Because as much as I like girls in bikinis, she has a face, and there was a race..

Yes I heard that the speed channel went to great lengths to capture the element this year. I know for a fact that speed channel was everywhere but the SF.com mobile. I will invite them next year Smiley

Thhat reminds me... I need to do a thread on Randy, and why he is so amazing.

Cool, this should have the segment I was looking for in another thread--the Speed chick riding in the Pit Crew bus.

You've only got to spend 5 minutes on sebringfans.com to realize that, while many of them may be knowledgeable fans, this race is mostly a drinking binge with some noisy cars in the background.
The focus (on that site) on alcohol consumption is really kind of depressing. I'm kind of amazed (and disappointed) that track management doesn't do anything to try and go a bit more upmarket.
If I wanted to hang with drunken louts I'd go to a British premier league game.

^  I believe that right there is the definition of
It's an itsy-bitsy teeny-weeny .. bikini

Btw, I reposted my post on the Speed boards with a note at the top saying she was wearing a flesh-coloured bikini and it again got deleted instantly. After a couple of emails, I discovered a mod thought 'there was no need for that kind of pic' - to which pointed out -- she had a SPEED mic in her hand, the bikini contest was more than likely going to be on IHP, and besides bikini contests have been on NOPI, TT, and others so 'that kind of pic' is obviously accpetable to SPEED.

reply: 'You're right - I'll put it back'.

I chose the one at the top because of the placement of the camera :!:
.. it helps my point that as great as the bikini contest is, there's more to focus on at Sebring than titties (as great as they are). I fear they will focus too long on the bikini contest and only show off-track stuff, which may increase the partier-to-racefan ratio at Sebring in the future. Having said that, I certainly wouldn't mind if they dedicated a separate 30min show to the HT bikini contest..  Cheesy

I'd post the other photos in the thread at Speed, but it would likely get deleted again due to "gratuitous oggling'. I must say I enjoyed the pics though!

PS. Why is it that when a chic puts her hand over her mouth, a simple thing like that can make her so damn sexy?!! (photo: 05-190)  Tongue

It is when 'out of control' partiers means an increase in cops and a crackdown on things like no standing in moving vehicles. Racefans can party with the best of them, but not all partiers make good racefans.
