I  drink, not smoke.
We have found a number of undercovers hanging around turn 10 last year.
Harassing the smoker, or the occasional titty.
Yet I see all these "Spring Break" kids, definetly underage, driving around in big trucks. Been going here long enough to know not to drink and drive, and how to crawl home.
It would be nice if the regulars who party in their own camps were left to it and the troublemakers given some attention.
We have started asking people to leave camp if we don't know them.
Shame, Camp hopping is one of the best things about Sebring.

Let me set the record straight here.

The Turn 10 gang has never asked anyone to leave our camp because we thought they were NARCS.However we have asked people to leave who were being dick heads. We do not allow dope to be smoked in our camp because we dont smoke it and its not worth letting someone who just shows and fires one up to get any of our group busted.Which is exactly what happened about 5 years ago.

We would cretainly not ask someone to leave because we dont know you,
but do expect someone to ask who you are.

There are less than a handfull of people who can speak for Turn 10.  Amazing Randy is one of them...Blackbirdrdr is not.  In 15+ years at Turn 10...I cannot remember one person asked to leave.  To the contrary, the people who identify themselves and are not dickheads are more than welcome.  And we encourage both drivers and their teams to pay us a visit and see our spectacular view from our scaffolding.  We work hard at creating an informed racing/hellofaparty atmosphere with no conflict.  Illegal stuff is a conflict.  It doesn't happen at Turn 10.

Nice one JJ, looking forward to visiting you, only one problem I smoke...but they are only King Edwards (which are, strangely enough, made in US) mind you I do drink rather a lot, BUT, have never fallen over...perhaps I don't drink enough!

Jupiter,
I did not mean to speak out of turn.
Being asked to leave was not correct. Checking who they are, especially when they were going into the coolers would have been a better statement.
Turn 10 is one place where I know I am safe at all times, with great people.

I'm not joining one side or the other on this debate. I personally don't smoke, either tobacco or other substances, I do drink, although not as much as I did when I was younger. I will give credit to the fact that the few "stoned" MJ smokers I have encountered are usually pretty mellow. I also will concur with the observation that alcohol does seem to raise the level of aggression. However, and in my opinion its a big however, the difference is rightly or wrongly, MJ is illegal, consumption of alcohol if you are of the appropriate age is not. I'm for everyone having a good time. As long as everyone respects everyone elses rights and property, let the party rage on. However, I think no matter what substance you're under the influence of, the second you get behind the wheel of a motor vehicle you should be arrested.

I first staggered through good-ol Cunningham Corner 10 years ago, parched from my long journey from Turn 1.  I needed a beer, and the asked the good people if I could have one....and they generously refused my $$.  Y'all are good people indeed.   -Mogie
