As luck would have I will be able to attend the Thursday practice session only. I've never been to Sebring before, and would love to shoot some video of the ALMS cars in action.  I will be in Florida on a shoot, and would love to use my real equipment (broadcast/CNN style rig).  Are there any restrictions on bringing this kind of gear in without a media pass??  Also, suggestions for good locations. Thanks and I'm really looking forward to this!

Thanks!  Any suggestions for parking? Looks like its $85 for the ticket and $10 for parking.  Where does that put me?  Is it worth the extra $50 for North Paddock parking?  The closer the better, and the less hauling I have to even better

check the SebringFan.com "fanfinder"

We could shoot some SebringChick Porno on Thursday night

I don't think you will have any problem taking the equipment in. You would just need media credentials to be inside the fences,.. but there are plenty of great vantage points.

I have a great spot on turns 3 - 4- 5
My space is Turn 4 space 11

North Paddock might be a LITTLE calmer, but I dont think its worth the money for just parking.Getting there early as possible is the key to parking.Welcome to sebringfans.com wink

I'm working in Orlando that week, so when I finish one job on Wednesday I'm heading towards Sebring. Thought I might stay in WinterHaven Wed night to get a jump on Thursday,  How earky is early, and how long a drive from Winter Haven to Sebring?  Thanks for the info!

I live in Winter Haven. It's about a hour and a half or so to the track.

Lots of people get there on wednesday to secure areas. But those people are looking for something different than you are. If your there before 9:00am you'll be able to find a sufficiant place. Actually you could go mobile and drive around to different viewing mounds, or accomodating campsites.

This is great!  Thank you all for the replies/suggestions and keep 'em coming. How difficult will it be to drive my little rent-o-car around to different locations?

not difficult at all,..  you can drive to many different sections and there will be a place to temporarily pull over and then walk to a viewing mound or other vantage point,...

You should stick around Thursday Night and document some of what Sebring is all about,.... THE PARTY

that might be the only reason you would want to pay the extra $40 to have access to the North Paddock,... Not necassarily to park there, but just to have access to more sections of the track.
