I think my buddy that I got the tickets from lets SIR use heavy equipment in leiu of about 50 tickets,.. a handfull of club Sebring tickets,.. some passes to a drivers gala,..some Chateau Elan passes,.. three spaces on the front straight, and some vehicle passes for our golf carts. I don't think he actually spends money, but he lets them use his stuff, which he could otherwise rent, or sell. If he makes some money back but at the same time saves some people some money, I have no qualms about that. He has been going to Sebring for more that 35 years,..paid his dues,.. and doesn't deserve your uneducated comments.
He always has too many tickets so he usually has his kids who come in from College go out at the gate and sell the leftovers for well under face value.
So I thought as long as he's getting rid of the tickets cheap, that I would just buy a handfull and save some of the users here some cash to spend on more important things like Beer.
Let's look at what has transpired,... I Front $600 of my own money,...I run to I-4 and us27, about an hour round trip early on a Saturday,... I meet a guy in Tampa, a 2 hour round trip (I was going to Tampa for a concert anyway, so it really wasn't out of my way),... I meet another guy a mile from my house (no big deal),... I made a trip to the post office and mail some away to a dude in Cocoa (actually lost $4.30 on those tickets because of PayPal Fees). I know that I spent my own money, to buy the tickets, spend time and effort to distribute them, money for gas to transport them, actually lost a few bux in the process, But all in all I save some Race Fans $330, and spread some goodwill to the website here, which I think is a Good thing.
Now lets don't mention that I am personally Buying a keg of beer for all the users here at SebringFans.com to come a drink free of charge. I help Pay for this website with cash to Sack. I laid out $50 for SebringFans.com tee shirts, that I plan on Giving away free. I hooked up some real nice SebringFan.com Banners at cost. I bought an extra space on turn 4, because my friends at my front straight spaces aren't real keen on a bunch of strangers from the internet randomly showing up at our camp (your the perfect example of that). And I forked out $1100 for a motorhome.
