New Off Road Vehicle Policy

Due to the increased accidents and insurance claims made upon Road Atlanta in 2004 by the general public, we will be changing our Off Road Vehicle Policy in 2005.   Our insurance company has raised our premiums for Off Road Vehicle claims and we have no choice but to forward on to those who wish to bring Off Road Vehicles onto our property.

THE 125cc RULE will be enforced by security .   Which simply means, ANY unlicensed Off Road Vehicle under 125cc will NOT be permitted on the premises.   We will provide a secured impound area if needed.

All unlicensed Off Road Vehicles above 125cc will be permitted to purchase an approved sticker at the security office for $50.00 per event.   The appropriate waiver must be signed at the time of purchase.   Please note that we will also enforce the Minimum Age Limit rule:   YOU MUST BE 16 YEARS OLD TO OPERATE AN OFF ROAD VEHICLE ON THE ROAD ATLANTA PROPERTY.

Anyone not obeying the waiver conditions will have their Off Road Vehicle impounded until the end of the event, or may be escorted off the premises at the discretion of Road Atlanta Management.

Road Atlanta would like to extend an offer to purchase your Off Road Vehicle sticker in advance at the 2004 price of $25 if purchased before April 1, 2005.   This order must be accompanied with a ticket order.   Coupons will be mailed in place of the sticker and you may redeem at the Security Office during the event.   This offer will apply to the following events ONLY:

    * 1 - Grand Prix of Atlanta, April 15-17
    * 2 - AMA Suzuki Superbike Showdown, September 2-4
    * 3 - Petit Le Mans, September 28-October 1

This offer is not available for any other event at Road Atlanta.   Off Road Vehicle stickers can be purchased for $50 at the gate.

Do any of you remember when off-road, three wheelers, etc were allowed at Sebring? Man i was a kid, but i remember well all the accidents and near misses...that many people in green park...i think it was a good idea to ban them...

The Road Atlanta policy is nothing compared to Mid Ohio. Back in the day you could ride bikes (Perfect place for mountain bikes) as well as just about anything else. Now nothing is allowed, well street bikes are.  Rent their golf carts $$$$$$$$$ or pay for a pass for your own $$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

Apparently a kid got bumped by a car and the good times stopped. So strict  are the rules that when CART was still there a driver (not sure which one)  rode his bike from his hotel to the track and was forced to walk from gate to the paddock.

That being said, at the RunOffs mopeds, scooters, bikes are everywhere. Go figure.

Oh Yeah, RunOffs @ Topeka 2006 SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!
