There's a friend of mine that was 6 when her father first took her to Sebring.  That's 6 months old.  She's been bringing her kids the last few years.  Her father still parties hard at the race.

You've only got to spend 5 minutes on sebringfans.com to realize that, while many of them may be knowledgeable fans, this race is mostly a drinking binge with some noisy cars in the background.
The focus (on that site) on alcohol consumption is really kind of depressing. I'm kind of amazed (and disappointed) that track management doesn't do anything to try and go a bit more upmarket.
If I wanted to hang with drunken louts I'd go to a British premier league game.

We here at SebringFans.com do not condone the corruption of minors

We are the people we warn our kids about!!!!

Back in the Day,... the early to mid 70's,... there was a wild bunch that always stayed on the outside of the hairpin. Back then there was no reserved parking and the outside of the hairpin was for the hardcore partiers.
As that group grew older they put a banner up on their truck/scaffold/or whatever that said:

"We are the people you parents warned you about"

They had a name for their camp, but I don't remember what it was,... Does anybody remember???  I'm thinking they originated "The Zoo"

ANYWAY,....

I'm thinking that I'm going to go back to Winter Haven for the baseball game,... I should be able to get back by 8:30pm on Thursday. It only takes away 5 to 6 hours, and I'll still have plenty of Quality Time getting drunk, loud, and obnoxious Thursday Night, and all day and night Friday, and Saturday at the track.

This will obviously put a ess turn in the WFO Party.

(1) I can either get someone access to the Keg and Y'all can go ahead and tap it and start Thursday at 6:30pm,  and I'll see ya when I get there.

(2) Postpone the WFO Party until 8:30pm to 9:00pm

(3) I can change my mind again, and say Fuck the baseball game and stay trackside and drink mass quanities of beer.

We already set the time for the WFO party... so....

I think we move the meeting spot to the flag pole. I either put Guido or 311Unity13b in charge of hooking up to get the keg from you.

Here is my problem, I am not sure who could ddo more dammage to a full Keg. 311, Josh & his friend or Guido himself. 8O

I WILL be there.

Also, I'm throwing up a plug for the site in todays news...you guys really are the kings of the Sebring local scene...
