Getting pumped...only 20 days baby.

Anyway, went through my loft and found old programs from years past. Here is what I still have:

1984 -- My first year. Still have the poster framed. Coca-Cola sponsered. $3.00. Small article welcoming the Allman Brothers Band.

1987 -- Has some P 962 on the cover #8

1988 -- Has the Bud #86 and the Castrol Jag #60...I loved the old 44 Jag. $4.00. Chip Robison gives you a Tour Track of the 4.11 mile circuit.

1989 -- Havoline, Nissan, & Castrol Jag on cover. Al Holbert remembered. Pic of Lamas' camal light car catching fire.

1992 -- An old Ferrari, Matini & Rossi, & Castrol/Bud Light Jag. $6.00. Cool pic and article about the Mazda RX-792...is this the Kuzdu or Kudzu or whatever it was that didn't race. That car was badass.

2002 -- 50th anniversary foldout cover. Huge issue.

I know I have more. It's fun looking through these old things.

I've got a '73 program.  And a '76 t-shirt (about 3 sizes too small for me).  Couple years ago I bought two mint posters off eBay ('78, '79).

You've only got to spend 5 minutes on sebringfans.com to realize that, while many of them may be knowledgeable fans, this race is mostly a drinking binge with some noisy cars in the background.
The focus (on that site) on alcohol consumption is really kind of depressing. I'm kind of amazed (and disappointed) that track management doesn't do anything to try and go a bit more upmarket.
If I wanted to hang with drunken louts I'd go to a British premier league game.

I used to have most of the programs from the events i attended as a kid, until my brother decided to cut them up to make a poster.

I started re-collecting them in 1999 or 2000
