Hello,

I am not sure yet on how i am getting back to Orlando / Kissimmee, on the Sunday morning after the race. I may have a lift from one of our Club Arnage camp, but then again I may not.

So if you see a friendly looking chap stood at the gate on Sunday morning holding a sign saying "British race fan, needs lift to Orlando".
Then please stop if you are travelling to the Orlando area provided you have room for an extra person.

Thanks
Chris

Where in Orlando do you need to go?  If someone reads your answer and is heading to your destination maybe you can connect.  I am traveling north and to the west of Orlando on Sunday morning but maybe too far from where you need to go.  I'm going up US 27 toward Winter Garden to the Fla. turnpike then on the I-75 north.   So that may not help you.

Hi,
I am going to a hotel somewhere on the 192, Kissimmee area which is just off I4, so it would be 4 junctions out of your way. US 27 crosses I4 but you are heading straight up across it.

I have two friends who are staying in a hotel at Orlando rather than camping at Sebring. They will be taking my luggage back with them on Saturday night, so i will be travelling light on Sunday with just a sleeping bag and an overnight bag, so space shouldn't be a problem.

Hey 151,... I just bought a boat motor in Cassleberry. Damn it's crowded up there.

Stopped at a little BBQ Shack called "Mo Better's".    Very Tasty!

That triggers a story.  Sebring 1986, hanging around the track well into Sunday afternoon, few people left.  We're chatting up this chick walking around; a Tampa Trib photographer comes by.  We coax her into showing her titties (which, if I remember right, were the only ones I saw all weekend).  She needs a ride; the photog gives her a lift.  Flash ahead one year--Sunday after the race again.  We run into the same photographer, ask him about his fare.  Seems that he talked her into a little private photo shoot on the way home.

You've only got to spend 5 minutes on sebringfans.com to realize that, while many of them may be knowledgeable fans, this race is mostly a drinking binge with some noisy cars in the background.
The focus (on that site) on alcohol consumption is really kind of depressing. I'm kind of amazed (and disappointed) that track management doesn't do anything to try and go a bit more upmarket.
If I wanted to hang with drunken louts I'd go to a British premier league game.
