Several friends and I made the trek to Sebring on Monday.  Great weather and only about 100 fans there, so we had the run of the track.  Met Andy, who is a Sebringfans.com member and drove 26 straight hours from Canada.  We had a great conversation about racing--he's been to Le Mans several times, Mid-Ohio, Lime Rock Park, Mont Tremblant.
Best viewing sites included the two bleachers at turn 17--you can really see the cars bounce through the exit of the turn.  The spectator hills at turns 3 and 5 are also excellent--you can really see the cars sliding and leaving rubber patches.  The view from the back of Chateau Elan is excellent for viewing approach and exit of turn 7.  The only disappointment was the number of teams testing on Monday.  They included:  1 Bam/Orbit Racing Porsche GT3CUP.  It was very fast and the Porsches always sound great.  1 Saleen SR7 which sounded off-song and did not appear to be fast, certainly not compared to the Corvettes.  1 Aston Martin DB9R ran many many laps.  It sounds SWEET and is very fast, but is it as fast and reliable as the Corvettes... Joe Fields ran 1 Infiniti-powered Lola, but not many laps and not fast. 1 Courage ran some afternoon laps and looked fast and smooth.  The highlight of the day had to be numbers 1 and 2  ADT-sponsored Champion Audi's.  They ran constantly all day long.  Can you say FAST and gorgeous??  Pierro was sliding through turn 5 and leaving rubber patches on a regular basis-talk about car control!  He and Frank Biella were really fast and the cars sound SOOO strong.  They're my pick for the win. All-in-all well worth the 10 bucks to get in!

Yes I guess we are going to see another year of R8 dominance. Unless they break, I don't think anyone can beat them.

I am interested to see the CR6. If it is truly a better machine and can be as flawless, we might see some overall podium finishes from them!

Slow in, fast out.
It's not a style it's a way of life.
