The extra downforce that they have generated with the new body style will make a great performing automobile perform even better.

The 6 Hands down.

Not even Max Papas himself could outdrive a 6 with a 5

The privateer C5 is running on Yokohama Tires, that alone will relegate them to the "best of the rest" status.

The factory C5 did run on Michelins last year and will run the C6 on them this year. Johnny Oconnell stated that the private C5 will run on Yoks in an article I read. http://www.johnnyoconnell.com/NEW/racingnews.htm

On November 14 I was at Sebring for a PCA event.  There were two GM Racing transporters in the paddock.  One contained 2 all black C6R's and the other contained two SPEED World Challenge Cadillacs.  One of the engineers was walking through the hot pits and we started talking.  He told me Ron Fellows, Johnny O, Andy Pilgrim, Oliver Gavin, John Heinrecy, Max Angellelli, and Mad Max were flying in that evening for a closed test session the next day.  He told me their expectation was that the new car would be at least 2-3 seconds faster a lap.  I don't know if they were...Anyone know who the old C5R's are going to?  I loved the old days of the fights between the Corvettes and the ORECA Vipers!

Carsport Holland , I think are getting one of them.

Anyway, whats all this talk about if the C5 or the C6 will be quicker. They will both be blown away by the Aston Martin DBR9 !

(I'm hoping I am not taking my foot out of my mouth in 4 weeks time !)

Who cares if the Aston can blow away the Vettes. Can the car and drivers stand 12 hours of punishment?
