This will be my sixth year at the 12 hours. A Jumbo tron would be nice. I have been told they were placed in prime locations in the past. Lee may be able to fill you in on this. I'm too drunk. Practice makes perfect.

My guess is that there will be one at the hairpin, and if there are two, a second closer somewhere to the paddock/midway area - which is pure speculation on my part based on past experience. There also was talk about playing some movies at night. The suggestion was made of LeMans, or Speed Merchants after night practice on Thursday. I suggested that there also are some old half hour and hour promotional films that might be fun to see.
It is just great to see this kind of thing filtering back into the thinking of the track.

Would love to see John Sutherland's Sebring film aired on the big screen at night.

One at Turn 10 would be rad.  I may not leave Turn 10 at all the entire race. haha

Interestingly, as noted above-- if you look at the online Sebring Guide at the map-- there are 2 dots for "scoreboards" at the hairpin and on the Midway by the East bridge...  JUMBOTRON = electonic Scoreboard??

IG63-

I'm pretty sure they mean the electronic scoring towers that have been in place for quite a while.

Zach-

I concur completely.  I seem to recall one being placed at T-10 a few years ago....but memory, like eye witness testimony can be hazy.  Anyway, I'd love to see one there and for sure would love to see "Le Mans" and the "Speed Merchants".  Some of the old rarely seen mini documentaries from the '60s & '70s would be great too.

One is a tower the other is a row of shapes that resemble numbers.

Sorry-- my "DUH" moment... I've seen the tower on the Midway, and just have forgotten about it.  In all the years I have been going to the track, I've never wandered down to the hairpin... I would think if they are going to use it (jumbotron) at night, I would think they will put one in the Party Zone...  MC
