« on: November 16, 2011, 02:21:56 am »

I went to the first annual Legends of Motorsports last year at Sebring. Lower key than the twelve hour, but a GREAT time none the less. Great cars, Great people. I camped on the Green park side of the drive over bridge at turn five and the power was on AND... there was a gaggle of Turn ten People camped a few sites down. Lee, John, Ray, Randy just to name a few. It was a lot of fun.
I just got this email from Sebring so I jumped on it.

Last Year I came close to being run over by Bobby Rahal while  He was Qualifying in his GOLF CART (My fault). Apperently it's not gender specific. Your welcome Sandy.
I hope to see a lot of you there.

Heres a taste.

 Cheers till then. Beer

Is he old enough to wield a camera? I'm thinking key grip. Clap
It's a wonderful event and a good time had by all. If you have a chance to see it just once. Do it.

Yes, he loves doing camera work. I have been training him for three years to use a camera. This would be his first experiece of trying to catch fast moving objects though.

I think he may be out of luck. We may be moving mighty slooowww by the end of the event. Actualy I am sure of it.
Swing by turn five and look for a small tiny airsteam. Good friends of mine Su and Brent own it and I will be camped nexdoor in my new camping lodge (after tents reach a certain size, they are no longer called tents). I probably won't arrive until four or five Friday afternoon. Just introduce yourself and make yourself at home, Su and brent are great people.
Brent is also some form of DJ and we may do a live broadcast on the internet this weekend. We are going to try and run sound from his mixing board to my video camera. It will be a dry run in preperation for next years 12 hours. I'm also handing out a bunch of DVDs I have edited from this past 12 hour race and also some older DVDs from past races at Sebring. So first come first served while supplies last. no charge.
I hope to see you there  Beer.

I know what you mean by the tents getting larger. My big tent was named the Mc Mansion by the rest of the campers around us

Ok, I'm going!  Woohoo!  Saturday.  Not sure where I'll park yet.  I'm thinking somewhere near the competitor's paddock, near turns 6/7 (where we camped during the 12 hour) or over in GP near turn10.

Bwahaha!  Boogie Wazzzuuupppp MAXXOTTO?  I did kinda flip out, eh?  Where's Hank and Sheila's Big Freakin Tent?  I'm getting antsy, can't wait!  Looks like I will be abandoning the tent camping near turn 6 midway side like last year and renting an RV for Green Park.  We'll see....

Hank and Shelia's Big freki'n tent is located halfway between F-Troop and turn 10. It looks like a red, green and white circus tent. This year I'm thinking of camping between turns 8 and 9 with some friends of ours. The Racing Flamingo's. I'm sure we'll bump into each other.
