Stumbled upon some interesting comments on a Ferrari chat board.

http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=277484&page=3

Starting at message 58:

You've only got to spend 5 minutes on sebringfans.com to realize that, while many of them may be knowledgeable fans, this race is mostly a drinking binge with some noisy cars in the background.
The focus (on that site) on alcohol consumption is really kind of depressing. I'm kind of amazed (and disappointed) that track management doesn't do anything to try and go a bit more upmarket.
If I wanted to hang with drunken louts I'd go to a British premier league game.

message 61:

I've spoken to Jesse McClelland (director of operations) personally about this and he just didn't get it at all which floored me. Couldn't grasp the concept that some people feel like they need to be protected from the kinds of fans they seem to be encouraging. Didn't see the need for any family-friendly areas. Amazing.
I know people in Turn 10 - but I've no desire to join them in their debauchery.

Lots of Sebring bashing--and most amazingly--praise for Andy Evans!

He's proud of his new-found fame, yet unappreciative of the gift.  I just don't understand.

Wow, I still find this hard to believe.  What's the matter with those people?  Don't they have anything better to do with themselves?   idiot2

Ferrari's and fat bank accounts don't nourish the soul, getting funky with your friends and creating great memories do!

To be honest Matt I'm pretty sure Charlie Sheen would say your out of your f***ing mind, just look at the incredible memories he's creating with his fat bank account!.......... I wonder if he owns a Ferrari too?

Probably two of them.

What struck me as particularly amusing (aside from the fact that if they had talked to just about anybody in the "trashy Turn 10," they would have found we are pretty big race fans there mainly for the racing) is that most of us tend to dislike the other people they're complain about just as much.
Yeh but it sounds like they have talked to people in T10 and realized that there are big race fans there or did I mis-read the quotes?  I think maybe you're right when you say "most of us tend to dislike the other people they're complain about just as much". So maybe this wasn't directed at us? Maybe this got taken a bit out of context or something?  I don't know - but I need to go lie down after typing all this. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

PS: talking about Ferrari d-bags:  one of the funniest most out of place people I've EVER seen was a guy at a NASCAR race wearing head-to-toe Ferrari gear!  We're talking the real deal red Puma shoes, the socks, shorts and the $$$$$$ bling bling embroidered team shirt.  Looked stupid as hell.  Cheesy
