Thanks Anna.    smiley    It is 40 degrees and raining here.  We missed the winter weather this time around in NC.  I am wishing for some warm sunny weather in Sebring.   Can't wait!          Beer

This weather is nuts. I'm in Dayton, OH and the ice is ridiculous. I can hear tree limbs scraping across my roof whenever the wind blows, which is pretty often since it's gusting to about 50 mph. If the power stays on through the night I'll be amazed. Thank god for liquor and fire wood.  Drinker

18+" of snow on this side of the pond anna, with 15 foot drifts in some spots. Lots of fresh powder for snowmobiling!

Well, it was fun.  My only complaint is that we didn't get as much snow as they'd predicted, only 12 inches.  Still, it will make for some good riding now that my "new" sled is here.   Smiley

We wound up getting a little snow yesterday morning, not enough to measure, then it turned to freezing rain then just plain rain as the temps rose (slightly) above freezing ... of course, the storm drains were still all blocked with ice so nothing could drain so there was street flooding all over.  Then last night we went back below freezing, was ~20 degrees this morning ... which means southern New England is basically a skating rink.

I went for a bike ride in shorts and a tee at 7am this morning.

You've only got to spend 5 minutes on sebringfans.com to realize that, while many of them may be knowledgeable fans, this race is mostly a drinking binge with some noisy cars in the background.
The focus (on that site) on alcohol consumption is really kind of depressing. I'm kind of amazed (and disappointed) that track management doesn't do anything to try and go a bit more upmarket.
If I wanted to hang with drunken louts I'd go to a British premier league game.

I've been enjoying the snow and the cold, though I admit that I'd hate ice.  (That would truly suck.)  I don't want temperatures above freezing until I get back from Sebring.  And I'd like another foot or two of snow.  Unfortunately, it's going to be above freezing on Sunday and Monday and rain on Monday.  I just got my "new" sled and I won't be able to ride her........ cry cry cry cry cry cry cry   WAAAAA...........

To be honest ... I kind of have to echo Vettefan's sentiments.  We just bought new snow skis for the season, and although northern NE still has some good snow on good mountains, most of them are 3 to 4 hours away which is too far for a day-trip skiing and too expensive for a two night stay in local lodging.  The weather is above freezing & raining at our nearby hills, which means they're getting 'crusty' and dangerous to ski ... and potentially damaging to the skis as well.
