change of plans... Wanted to but the cost and the ala cart menu of Road America has made it too much to go with a motorhome.... I did Sebring and will do Petit for about $50 more for the two... And Road America wonders why no one goes.

Rumor has it this will be the last year for the ALMS. Sad. Bruggenthies can officially suck it. I will never support he facility again should they choose to not resign with the ALMS.

I've heard that too ... apparently the Nationwide race a few weeks ago drew the largest crowd in years.  It really is a shame that one of the premier road courses in North America, arguably the world, sells more tickets to a stock car feeder series than to a world-class sports car series...

Well scott, that's all there is here. I can go to probably a dozen different dirt track ovals within 75mi of home on friday, saturday, and sunday and all will have good close racing with 360/410 winged sprints, and I also have at least 3 asphalt ovals sanctioned by nascar within 50-100mi. Just how it is in this part of the world. I hate it just as much as 99% of people here too. To find other tifosi as hardcore as us about endurance sportscar racing is next impossible in this part of 'merica. I did happen to run into a lizards fan the other day though.

Vettefan...I see that is says for two races that state"No Camping" for me.... Did we have a bad time at 2009 Petit??? I had a brand new tent and it worked so well keeping out the water I left it.... Needless to say for Sebring it was a new and did not need the extra protection... I will be ready for Petit. Road America I think it will be my racing trailer for lodging... Got my tickets...

Nice..Anna, seeing as I'm local, and will be there all weekend, I'd be more than happy to play tour guide if you so wish! Either way, i'll make sure I swing past the vette camp and say hello to you and brian.

I don't enjoy camping at the track, simple as that.  I like warm, dry beds, hot showers and blow dryers.
See you all there!  I can't wait, I leave here in an hour!   Cheesy   Road trip!!

What a race...it was hot and sticky all damned weekend, really uncomfortable. But, thankfully we saw a fantastic race, great people, good food, and an environment as close as Spa will ever get in the US. A true classic. I urge everyone to get here for this race at some point in your life. Standing in the trees along the run from Station 4a to 5, and then from 11 to 12 and the cars are only about 30ft or less from you at full chat. GT's at 170mph, P cars doing nearly 200. The noise that reverberates off the trees is just amazing. Something you can't get at any other track the ALMS visits.

yeah, it's an expensive weekend.  I do F&C when I can with the SCCA....so...$50 dollar dues every year get me into any event in the country basically.  Say That at least, the ones the SCCA work. I can stand on a corner and throw blue flags all weekend..and do it with a smile because I have the best seat in the house!
