I dont know about you guys, but I'm looking forward to this broadcast. I am curious to see the footage of the 12 Hours of Sebring. After watching Truth in 24 I'm sure Racing into darkness will be top notch. It airs today at 1:30 PM EDT on CBS.

I think they hit it out of the park.  Clap Clap

I found I watched every minute.
What a treat to FINALLY get HIndy for the race audio.

The NFL Films / Intersport guys gave our sport a great presentation.
Thanks ALMS, that was actually worth the wait.

+1

Thought I was just going to glance at it from time to time, having watched the entire race last weekend but as Lee said, I sat and watched the entire show.  Was great for 'casual' (& potential!) ALMS fans to see the show behind the race.

I enjoyed it as well.  This broadcast was intended to intorduce the ALMS to new fans, not to please loyal fans.  It attempted to tell the story behind the on-track action, and explain what was happening with the different classes, pit strategy and everything else.

The dedicated fan still has all 6 hours of action available on-demand, uninterrupted with Hindy's commentary.

It was much better than previous network coverage of races.

I agree with Lee (sorry John). You have to figure Intersport put it together in less than a week. and they did not compromise, even the limited comercials were..well, I camped there. I understand your point John, but being a first attempt I think they did a stand up job. I shall get off my soap box now.
 I truly miss the F-18s.

I stand by my statement. knuppel2  They didn't even post the results at the end of the race.  I had to get on line to find out who finished in what place.  Poor coverage indeed. It was however...still TV coverage, and I watched.

I actually agree with everybody!! I thought for a "Newby" it could be informative as to how ALMS works but as for coverage of an actual race it was lacking. As with John I was very put out in the lack of coverage of who's winning what.... I thought I'd missed bits because they were jumping around so much. I get the fact that they condenced it to just an hour and a half, but race? was there a race? Results, coverage. why are we in caution? red flag? what happened? Just my thoughts.....
