In the weeds again

WWW
« on: April 27, 2010, 10:18:12 am »

There has been some talk about putting recycling bins around selected areas where there is an expectation that glass and plastic bottles as well as aluminum cans might be put (and not have the bins used for garbage). Would the folks at Turn 10 welcome such a facility?
I had suggested that there might be several targeted areas and am just putting out feelers for the 2011 race.
Thanx'

Its much esier just tossing it on the track, that way you know its going to get picked up!........... Its a great idea and I'm sure all at Turn 10 would agree and be mindful of what was put in the recycling cans.......

Concur .. I camp near turn 10 and would welcome a recycle location.  I'm tired of having to throw all my cans / bottles in someone's tent or the back of a passing pickup truck.

My son and I left the track in '07 with the truck loaded with tent poles and RV awnings one foot over the roof.

Shit sold for like $350. About what we spend going to Sebring.

Recycling is good afro

I know what your saying Wally, I did the same thing in 08, collected $425 worth of metal but traded it for a giant crack rock.

Ideas are great... until we drink... then all that seperating goes out the window! Besides I thought that's what the Boy Scouts did on Sunday!

Would a "recycler" (a/k/a some broke fan) appreciate all the effort that the track has made putting out the bins and that the fans have made in filling them by taking the contents with them when they left the track for a little "reimbursement"?

Turn 10 would consider it an honor to be the "postercamp" for camp recycling.
Bring us the bins, and we will show other camps how easy it can be.

Always, glad to help keep it green, in Green Park.

Thanks

Very nicely put Randy and let me add that it would be swell if you could locate some high end private porta Johns at Turn 10 also.... With keyed locks!

Thanks
