All- Jut wanted to post some after Sebrings usings, hope to hear likewise from y'all......it's such a big event it's always nice to hear the 1001 little things that make up the whole. First THANKS to all of you that came out to T-10 for Norm's wake Thursday night and....err...ummm...well..you know..Friday night. I could not have gotten through all that without your kind words and big hugs. Godspeed Norm, a little of you will always be at T-10. Highlights: I get a photo credit in Lee Self's new Sebring book (BUY it!!!) How cool is that? Cooking 11 lbs (that's NOT a typo) of bacon Sat. morn with 12 dozen eggs and feeding "our" corner workers along with us...not a bit of it wasted either. The enduring camaderie of the whole T-10 gang. Lowlights: Easy, yjr freaking COLD at night!!! -Rick

Yes, it was an awesome year. Rick, are you the Toyota tech that I talked to? If so, good meeting you. Sorry I had to bolt out so quickly, I was wanted to watch the end of the race.

Zach- Yeppers, that was me. Good meeting you too, always nice to put a real person to an online personna. That goes for everyone else that intro'ed themselves (LaBomba, Penny, NoSweat et al) and I'm sorry I missed Lorie (dammit!). Hey JP or the other UK gang members, what happened with the missing key to your RV? I told Norm to quit effing around and give it back, did it ever show up, or how did you get out of the track? Lee's T-10 swag was fantastic as ever, the hat was a great touch, nice to add my gold jump wings to the top of the Turn 10 patch. My buddy Dave had a great first time despite the cold. He told me that the stories I've brought back to the dealership didn't meet up with the reality of Sebring, the real thing is SO much better. He was blown away by his first sight of La Bomba parked off to the side of the main drag. More later............ -Rick

It was cold at night, but for the first time EVER, I was completely prepared. Brought my parka, my over-the-ears snow hat, my 30-below sleeping bag, plus a half dozen extra blankets, and for once in my life was not miserable at sebring. Regarding the photo credits, an interesting thing happened to me...after running into the drunk monks and hearing how they were in the official program, I went and took a closer look at those pages. Sure enough on the opposite page, there's a pretty big photo of some kids waiting for an autograph at Peugeot last year. Who would be standing in line behind them but my dad, Swillz, and you can see me in the distant background with my Gator Engineering cap on.... too funny!

Dave- Yeah...I guess that was a wee bit of an understatement on my part. My wife told me after I bought it last year that a 20 degree Arctic bag was overkill for camping in Florida, but I'm damn glad I had it this year! You can't imagine the mental conversations my bladder had with my head and legs about getting out of that warm bag at 2ayem to sprinkle the lawn.....I came this >-< close to just whizzing down my leg just to NOT get out of the bag. The bright side (hey, ya gotta find a bright side...) to the cold was that we all saved on ice and any cans or bottles left outside overnight were for damn sure cool enough to drink even till 8-830 the next morning. -Rick

Yeah, well Rick, not all of us could just walk outside and take care of business...it was a 50 yard walk to the nearest port-o-potty for us women. So count yourself lucky!

Hell, with the way those port-o-lets looked at times, you were probably better off just squatting outside the tent -=Dave=-

Hey JP or the other UK gang members, what happened with the missing key to your RV? I told Norm to quit effing around and give it back, did it ever show up, or how did you get out of the track? The key never showed up. Myself and JP Mark got a ride back to O Town with Matt Harper as we had a flight to catch. Rick had to stay at the track with the camper and wait to be towed back to Kissimee.. I got a text from him about 7pm to say that he was back in Orlando. So all in all no real harm done except to Rick's wallet.

My only low point:
Thursday night (or about 4:00am Friday), when I finally went to sleep,... The heater in the motorhome stopped working,.. Then the Carbon Monoxide Alarm went off,.. then the smoke alarm went off. Fixed all that, then the sun came up and the roar of engines starter.
oh,.. and running out of Grey Goose!!!

Another great year at Sebring! The weather wasn't to bad. Ok, a little colder than I would have liked it to be. Only got about 4 hours of sleep at night. I was afraid that I would miss something fun... Saw some really great racin' , met some really fun people, saw the end of the race on Sat at the start finish line. The funniest part about that was the people trying to get over the fences and brick walls. So many people fell and I don't know if it was from lack of sleep or just being worn out, but that was some funny stuff... Everyone was ok, they got up and kept running to see the winning car. I hope to see you all next year. Oh, Turn 10, thank you for letting my sister and I go up on the scaffolding. What a great view of the cars from there.

I was one of those people jumping the fence. HAHA. I tore my jeans trying to do so. But I got some GREAT shots of the winning cars and drivers.

Hi all, I'm finally back in Michigan and back to normal life. Hmm......thoughts on Sebring....... High points- Staying in Turn 10 the first night. I stayed up "late" with GBG and Jerri, good friends, good conversation, they are two very special ladies. Being there in the morning was great, just relaxing, freezing my butt off with everyone else. Low points- Corvette's disaster in pit lane. I couldn't believe it was real.
I was disappointed I didn't get out for the slide show on Friday night but Brian was tired, it was an early start. Saturday was another early start, after the race, well, we didn't feel much like seeing people or partying.
All in all, it was another good year, not great, but good.

Sebring is always a good week / weekend for me and each year it is different from all the others. As much as i enjoyed this year, it just seemed a little quiet by previous years standards. I don't know if I am getting old, but this year I failed to get drunk and I also took the most alcohol with me than I have ever done before.
As always, it's a real pleasure to see my many friends that I only get to see once a year at Turn 10, Party Barge, Camp Pidge, Flaming Flamingo's and many other camp sites that I have become friends with over the years.
The Wake For Norm, although sad, it was really good to see a great turn out to pay their respects to a much missed man and race fan.
The slide show was great as always and it was also great to see the final cut of John's Turn 10 film. I Look forward to Lee's Sebring book (buy it !)
The low points from this year, Jerri's accident which meant Jerri , Lee, Randy and his wife had to miss the WFN on Thursday and left Jerri in pain the rest of the weekend and also confined Lee to camp for the duration.
Norm not being there, but a little part of him willl be at Turn 10 forever. Thanks to Rick for all he has done to help Norm's family and all he is continuing to do to help out with Norm's stuff and the house. Glad I could do just a little to help getting the "bunny chair" to Sebring for you.
Ginnie not being able to make the race this year due to work. Party Barge is not the same without her there.
Only saw Bo from La Bomba on Saturday night after the race and didn't see La Bomba move until Saturday night either but I did enjoy the ride after the race. Thanks Bo.
The plus side - It's always great to see Pidge and his family each year and catch up, along with everyone at Pidge's camp site.
I enjoyed the race this year more than I expected and the weather was also perfect, not too hot, just about right.
Finally it was nice for Mark and I to be able to set our differences aside, as we both agreed that life is too short and that certainly made the weekend easier on both of us. Thanks Mark.
Roll on next year.
