Appears to be. He climbed out on his own and was taken to the hospital for observation. That link has a few more photos.

Quote
03/15/10 Horrific Intersport crash at Sebring UPDATE Team manager Brian Alder reported late Monday that CT Scans of the head and neck were negative.

Reports from IMSA indicated that high winds, at times over 30mph, likely played a major factor in the incident. While Jon initially told medical workers that the rear wing collapsed, the wing remained intact even after the catastrophic accident. A punctured tire has also not been ruled out as the cause.

It’s uncertain if the car will be repaired for the race, or whether the team’s spare chassis, currently at its Dublin, Ohio shop, will be used.

I wonder if they will have a car ready by race day.   If the tub was damaged...who knows.

If you look closely at the pic, his right hand is pointed up at Turn 10, I believe he is requesting 1 beer, and possibly a diaper.  Cheesy

Good that he lived. Holy shit.

Unfair. Unbalanced. Unmedicated.

That was a nasty ride ... thank God for the safety built into the cars.  Hope Jon's able to run the rest of the week and in The Race Saturday!

That happened way before Turn 10.  The car came to rest next to the 200 foot cones.

Article says he was transported to Highlands Regional for observation.

Jesus...the rear wing dosen't look in tact in that last pic...maybe it's still attached to the rear of the car down track.  That's an unlikely spot for a car to snap loose, pretty straight corner with some serious downforce.  That may have been a blow over.

Here's the latest as of this morning:

UPDATE: JON FIELD RELEASED FROM SEBRING HOSPITAL
Lead Intersport driver in terrifying testing crash
Intersport Racing’s Jon Field was released from a Sebring, Fla., hospital Monday night, hours after a horrific crash during testing for this weekend’s opening round of the 2010 American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón.

Field, testing for the 58th Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring presented by Fresh from Florida, was taken to Highlands Regional Medical Center following an accident in which his AER-powered Lola B06/10 LMP1 race car got airborne and flipped several times between Turns 9 and 10 of the 3.7-mile, 17-turn Sebring International Raceway circuit.

The car eventually came to a stop upright on its wheels. After being taken to the track's medical center, he was transported to Highlands Regional for further observation.

Prior to the crash, the Intersport Lola-AER had posted the fastest time of the afternoon session.
