I went to pick up a couple of the ones on Craigslist this afternoon. Got scared when it seems that all #4 are sold to students and it's too easy to remove the "Student Sticker" on them. It was after hours for the Sebring ticket office to find out if anyone can use a #4 ticket. So I didn't pull the trigger as it's been 30+ years since I was a student. I might call Sebring tomorrow to find out if they were good !!
But it was too much of a risk if we needed student Id's to go with them.  coolsmiley coolsmiley coolsmiley coolsmiley

Ive purchased the student tickets the last 2 years and got in fine. 1st year I removed the sticker, 2nd year I didn't. No one ever asked for ID. Both years the # was 2. According to this years ticket a number 4 ticket allows you to enter a suite or pit box as long as you have the proper sticker for that area.

Lots of tickets on CL.  This guy's got 4 for $65 each.  The pic shows it as #3 tickets..  http://lakeland.craigslist.org/tix/1626933068.html

Can't speak for them but it sounded like they got the RV and will be there today sometime.

Not impossible... but I imagine the field is pretty loaded up. Somebody will know where they are. Good luck!!

I'm still looking for one, maybe 2 if Randy's bro still needs one. Not really convenient or economical to drive to Orlando or Lakeland just to save a few bucks. If anybody has extra tix, let me know and I'll find a way to meet you. Otherwise, we will be there buying them at the gate Thurs. evening.

Try the guy at the Shell station at the intersection of 27 and 98.  That's my plan right now.

Just got an email back from the one Craiglister with a ticket in St. Pete.  He said 'sorry, just sold it an hour ago.'  Except I emailed him yesterday morning. Angry

You've only got to spend 5 minutes on sebringfans.com to realize that, while many of them may be knowledgeable fans, this race is mostly a drinking binge with some noisy cars in the background.
The focus (on that site) on alcohol consumption is really kind of depressing. I'm kind of amazed (and disappointed) that track management doesn't do anything to try and go a bit more upmarket.
If I wanted to hang with drunken louts I'd go to a British premier league game.

I tried to contact everyone in the orlando area a couple days ago but nobobdy responded. Either I can't figure out how to respond to craigslist ads or everyone thinks I'm an asshole.
