95 total arrests.  One that I salute the police for:

Brandon Robert Schelione, 23, of Cape Canaveral, was charged with exposure of sexual organs.

You've only got to spend 5 minutes on sebringfans.com to realize that, while many of them may be knowledgeable fans, this race is mostly a drinking binge with some noisy cars in the background.
The focus (on that site) on alcohol consumption is really kind of depressing. I'm kind of amazed (and disappointed) that track management doesn't do anything to try and go a bit more upmarket.
If I wanted to hang with drunken louts I'd go to a British premier league game.

I wonder what the definition of a sexual organ is?  I mean, I know the obvious ones but are breasts?  I hope not!

Arrest logs also showed that two out-of-county probation officers were charged with possession of both cannabis and drug paraphernalia at about 11:30 p.m. Thursday.

Three men -- John Smolka, 57, the assistant chief probation officer at the Tampa office of the Department of Juvenile Justice; Peter Hughes, 53, a probation and parole administrator in the Sarasota office of the Department of Corrections; and John Eugene White, 58, of Seffner, were all seen smoking a marijuana joint in a roach clip at the Raceway last Thursday.

Those three deserve THE CHAIR!!!   na just kidding, as someone who has been convicted on a few counts of posession I was EXTREMELY careful this year and last.  As soon as I got to the track on Friday morning my parents already were telling us stories about how the cops were being pricks and had already busted several of our neighbors...  I can't believe they would not crack down on the hundreds of car/truck loads of drunk people driving all over the facility.  I don't think that article said anything about someone smoking themselves to death over the weekend...

just my $.02

Meanwhile the Polk County Sheriffs absolutly let a guy and girl escape out of state with a baby girl. It was all over the news and there was an "Amber Alert" because of the abducted child.

Come to find out, several people had told them that they were trying to sell stolen merchandise so they could skip out of town with the baby girl, but they were too worried about a few pot smokers in a confined and isolated area.

The cops Priorities were definately skewed.
