Maxx Otto here, The name Gary Ott was forced on me at birth. I combined my buddys first name with my last name and came up with MAXX OTTO for online racing purposes. I carried it over to SF.com. This will be my fourth 12 hour race at Sebring. I have also been to Limerock and the 24 hrs of LeMans. I'm originaly from Ct, but made my way down to Fl. via Ringling Bros, and Barnum & Bailiey Circus. Hey, the clowns had ity bity race cars. http://sports.webshots.com/photo/2230957590104516722nhCqIS

Real name: Scott. First Sebring was 1967 at the ripe old age of 8 years old, been back many times but have probably missed more than I've seen due to a 21 year hitch in the US Navy. Would guess I've been to ... 15-20 or so total? The handle came about as I consider Florida home ... having spent the majority of my younger years in Daytona Beach and St. Pete / St. Pete Beach. When I retired from the Navy, wound up in Rhode Island where I live now ... hence, the 'Misplaced Floridian'. Have no idea what I'll call myself when I finally do move back down to Florida, which I WILL do some year. And, if you must know what I look like ... the avatar to the left is a fairly good likeness!

My name is Kelly. WFO was taken so I signed in as WTF. The Redneck buddies that I used to hunt with jokingly called me WFO 'cause I'm a slow talkin' southern guy. That, WFO, used to be my CB "handle"...that's before cell phones kids. My first Sebring was '72. Let's just say I was very young then, but I remember the bikes, and I remember putting my head in the center of the tent 'cause I knew it would hurt less if my feet got ran over. This year will be my 16th in a row. I belong to a loose knit group that camps outside T-6. We worked for 701 Group for about 10 years (95 till 04). They called it security, but it was mostly guarding gates and camera stands. I grew up around racing, mostly 2 wheels, dabled in motocross and had some friends that competed in AMA road racing and IDBA drag bikes. I did a little corner work for the local MX track. I still get pissed when I see corner woorkers sleeping. I enjoy any kind of racing, except NASCRAP and Monster Trucks, but IMSA is my stand alone favorite. I'm bringing some noobs this year and would like to break them in right by attending the WFO party on Thurs. and checking out the rock and roll at F-troop. Here's a picture of me, I'm the guy on the right...The other guy some Dunlop tire R&D guy

Real name Tom. Semi-retired from biomed research. Ex-part owner/mechanic of a low budget (oxymoron there) top fuel dragster.... 1980's. Between marriages & had money. Located two hours south of Watkins Glen, three hours west of Lime Rock, 45 minutes from Pocono, hour & a half from Maple Grove & just down the road from PennCan....dirt track Saturday Night! it's fuckin' cold! First Sebring was 1980 sleeping in the ditch. The hook was set. Have missed one since then. Lotta years around the fires at the old Chicane. Now daze just drift from place to place & decompress. Have Lee's 1988 poster framed in my man cave. Gotta get the book & John's DVD. See ya'all soon. T

Penny and Lorie, if you thought you were unoriginal with the screen name... Name's Nate. I'm from Ohio. I've lost count but I think this will be my 6th or 7th Sebring. My first Sebring, I came down on a whim with racerboyadam because my spring break just happened to line up with the race and we had heard legends that it was an alright race. Hooked immediately and haven't missed once since and don't plan on it anytime soon.

I have always told people, either you'll love it or you'll hate it... well, this year someone that I invited and told that to is celebrating his 20th race! ( Happy 20th, Porkchop!)

This is what's really cool about Sebring
So many different people,.. Older, Younger,.. From all over the World,.. Different economics and jobs,.. Men, Women,.. So many different Stories.
But there's something inside us that's the same,.. the adventure gene or something,.. some common bond
I go to a lot of events throughout the year, but nothing seems to bring people together and have that same shared spirit as the 12 Hours of Sebring

My mother named me John. Pretty basic. Alpine951. its my Avatar screen shor from Need for Speed. 1986 Porsche 944 Turbo ( Internal Porsche model designation 951) Color alpine white. First Sebring was 2008. Never been to a race before that. My initial thought back in 2008 was go to Ste Pete since my inlaws live in Clearwater. But then I figured that didn't make any sense .... Its only a 2 hour race. I heard about this forum and started asking questions about camping early 2008. I was going to catch a plane with my tent and show up all by my lonesome. I initially chickened out... But then Misplaced .. Scot.. shot me a message and invited me and said I could camp with him and a handful of other guys in turn ten... Nate is one of em. I figured what the hell... My wife thought i was nuts.. I brought along a sidekick with me and am on Sebring # 3 Wednesday. WOOOOHOOO!! Me thinks this was Friday night last year.. taken by Broken Flush..

Hi, I'm Wally and I'm an addict..... This will only be my 5th Sebring even though I have always lived a few hours from there. Workaholism will do some fucked up stuff to you. Thanks, Dad.
My son and racing buddy should not skip school this year and I am going solo as far as I know. No wing man this time Theororetically I should have more time to circulate (code for possibly showing up at your camp) and I will do my very best to stay just drunk and/or sober enough to enjoy every minute of it.
I can't fuckin' wait!

You've only got to spend 5 minutes on sebringfans.com to realize that, while many of them may be knowledgeable fans, this race is mostly a drinking binge with some noisy cars in the background. The focus (on that site) on alcohol consumption is really kind of depressing. I'm kind of amazed (and disappointed) that track management doesn't do anything to try and go a bit more upmarket. If I wanted to hang with drunken louts I'd go to a British premier league game. -the_stig, a ferrarichat.com douchebag
