what race? there's a race?

« on: February 27, 2010, 09:58:17 am »

Hi all!

So, the madness started yesterday around noon. Word came down that campers would be allowed in at 6:00 pm. Seven campers were lined up on the road waiting in line....to get in line. At 6:00 everyone proceeded inside quitely and with out incident and went to their respective spots all proudly boasting their "number" as if it were their new name. My new name, btw, is now, "number 5"! whoot whoot for us!!
We stayed last night until about 10:00 having a few with all our friends under the cover of the coldness in Greg's fantastical corvette hauler. (It has heat and mirrored ceilings!)
We all caught up on everyone's last year of doings and watched as the second line formed in a matter of two hours.
weather here is bad today and has everyone a little bummed although I heard that a horse shoe game was going to be played regardless of the rain on saturday morning.
Sunday will be sunny and inching it's way into the 70's. I hold high hopes for sunday follies and will update you all then with my nifty difty camera in hand!

OMG...... I can't stand it!  Smiley  Just a short couple of weeks until I get to leave for the race.  We are expecting more snow here on Tuesday.  Will winter ever end??  crazy2  Then I wonder what it will be like at the track in March.... I know, I know ,pack everything.  I have a feeling it will be a bit colder that usual.  I hope I am wrong.  See you all soon.

well, my husband has been out to the field a few times since this weekend and because of the weather it has been dead. He reported that because of the crazy winds yesterday tents were blown around and even a soft sided popup looked kinda destoyed.
Trust me....as soon as things calm down a bit (weather wise)  I will be snapping away.
Weather for this weekend is looking up!!
