I go to Biketoberfest every year, but like a dumbass, I proposed to my wife at Bikeweek ... got married a year later, and have only been back once since.  She no likey goin' racin' on our aniversary,,, stupid, stupid, stupid  idiot2  Do you go to the races, or just the partys?  They just built a new flat track at the speedway, That's Thursday night IIRC and then the Daytona 200 is Friday night under the lights.

Mainly Party,..   Haven't been to the races in years.

But I read about the flat track and definately want to catch some of that action.

Flat track is INSANE... worth every bit of the $25 ticket price.

My pics in the above posts don't show up unless I'm logged in.  What's up with that?

Probably because it's in jpeg. Just a guess.

Maybe because they're hosted on SebringFans.com as attachments.  Can you see photos hosted on other websites?  Like this one?

I tried to logout to verify this theory but the 'logout' button didn't reset the cookie.

You've only got to spend 5 minutes on sebringfans.com to realize that, while many of them may be knowledgeable fans, this race is mostly a drinking binge with some noisy cars in the background.
The focus (on that site) on alcohol consumption is really kind of depressing. I'm kind of amazed (and disappointed) that track management doesn't do anything to try and go a bit more upmarket.
If I wanted to hang with drunken louts I'd go to a British premier league game.

I just uploaded jpeg files from my hard drive.  Jpegs don't work, hasn't been an issue on other sites.

OK let me try photobucket or something like that.  I don't post my pics on hosting sites because they usually suck...every now and then I surprise myself and get a good one though.

Kings_Suck, I recognize that camp.  You're the guys that used to completely trash your site and had the big'ol P.A.s blasting the Beastie Boys.  Afro wigs, doctor coats etc, etc.  Right?

The carnage hasn't been as severe of late.  What gives?

Yep, the Pit Crew.  The crazies got older and slowed down and the track tired of the hijinks.  They started asking for ID at the gate and recording the info with the threat of being banned from the track if a mess was left behind.  The worst was about 3 or 4 years ago just a few hours after the Pit Crew arrived on Thursday.  We had gone yard-sale shopping the week before and bought a huge box of dolls and assorted toys.  The box was dumped in front of the campsite; within minutes a sheriff's deputy was ordering it cleaned up.  Someone got out a staple gun and affixed every item to the crates on the flatbed, then spray painted facetious graffiti about keeping campsites clean.  DK wrapped it up by vacuuming the area (with an unplugged upright).  I'm sure the Body Count CD was played that weekend.

That's funny shit...I guess you're notorious when they recognize you at the gate police  We pass by your camp 8 or 10 times during the weekend.  I'll stumble in and say hi this year.  Or find you at the WFO.

Back to bike week...wish I could go.  DK definately check out the flat track, and also this Sun. the 28th they have the CCS pro-am on the road course.  They do 6-lap sprints all day long...very good racing.  They're flat out start to finish.  Lots of action down at the horseshoe.  Have a great time!
