I met an engineer that was the nicest guy; he was outgoing, pleasant, a little chubby, and sort of geeky. I only heard the story in hushed tones, but one day two dudes tried to stick him up at an ATM. He flashed back to his Special Forces training and his time in Vietnam and had no memory of the next few seconds. If I remember the story correctly he disarmed one and killed him with his bare hands; I think the other guy ran away but he might have taken him out too. |

You've only got to spend 5 minutes on sebringfans.com to realize that, while many of them may be knowledgeable fans, this race is mostly a drinking binge with some noisy cars in the background.
The focus (on that site) on alcohol consumption is really kind of depressing. I'm kind of amazed (and disappointed) that track management doesn't do anything to try and go a bit more upmarket.
If I wanted to hang with drunken louts I'd go to a British premier league game.

There beasts ...Have a .50 and a .44 mag and they really aren't that bad kick wise so you could do the 2 fisted thing, now my Smith .500's another story, bang off 15 or 20 rounds and your wrist, elbow and shoulder are sore for a week...... Its gained the nick name the "Hammer" its quite a handful and for some reason I fire these trumped up loads that a guy makes for me which really makes it mule like but then again isn't that what the muzzle brakes for? ....... 311 maybe we should start the "Guns that kick ass" thread so everyone can show off their "personal defense weapons".... |
