Dunlop?  Bobby effin' Rahal can't get Michelins!   WTF
Dunlops are OE tires for BMW, and that has carried over to GT2, where Dunlop is in a developmental partnership with RLR and BMW.

Oooh.  I did not know that.  They're going to have their hands full with the level of competition in GT2 and to be competitive while "developing" a tire.  Good luck with that.  I'd like to see them up there mixin' it up with the Lizards, Vette's and Risi, but somehow, I don't see that happening.  Let's just hope the damn thing'll start up this year so we can get out there and do some R&D.  Hold your line and let the faster cars go by you!  Say That

Considering that the 2010 Porsches and Ferraris are much unchanged and the BMWs and Corvettes are very early in their development, I feel the Lizards and Ferraris will be the ones doing the chasing this year.  And lets be clear, the tires BMW gets are NOT the same ones Robertson, Black Swan, etc. get. RLR are getting the latest, greatest rubber Dunlop has, which are probably about as good as Michelins now.

Hey, don't get me wrong...I'm not trying to sell anyone a set of tires.  It's just the biggest complaint I've heard about the Michelins is that they're not available to every one, which I thing sucks.  I don't know all the circumstances behind that policy, but it seems like an eletist approach where some teams can get them and some can't.  I'd love to see Dunlop or Yokohama, Kuhmo or Falken for that matter, develop a tire that can make them rethink their marketing strategy.  Perhaps this is the year.

As for the Vette's, anyone who considers them a developmental program is in for a HUGE surprise in the form of a yellow and black blur going by on the outside.  I would expect nothing but the same approach from them, not just to win, but to embarass the competition.  The only difference is in GT2 the Porsche's and Ferrari's won't drop out of the class.

Back to the liveries, I'm liking the Petron Ferrari's.  If that green is reflective paint, that'll make for some great night time photos.

Kelly, I agree.  I would think they would be reflective.  Like the Flying Lizard's lizard head is reflective.

Its probably just as well, Michelins SUCK but then again they are French so I guess thats to be expected!

If you haven't been paying attention to the top step of the podium over the last few years, Michelin is THE tire to have in this series.

Michelin doesn't have an elitist attitude per se, for them to provide your rubber, then they/you...

a. Must have an engineer available
b. Feel your program will be competitive(prior wins/success)
c. have the funds, extremely expensive tires
d. be connected with a manufacturer

Meeting one of the four guarantees nothing, they really like all four. I see nothing with them being selective, it's their product/name on the marketing. If a car in lass is having consistently poor results, some may automatically assume its the tire. Listen to how bad NASCAR drives have bashed Goodyear over the years.
