I have to say, having seen the Pugs openly cheat at Le Mans, and get away with it, I don't see how they have any grounds to complain about Audi in the first place.
They either want to race, or they just want to win by forfeit? I go to the track to watch racing! Not just a hugely funded manufacturers team take on some privateers that have less than 10% of the funding and little chance of pushing them.
It was all started by Peugeot refusing to let Audi race! FACT!!! Yes there was a minor problem with the front wing? But it was also illegal to park on the side of the track at Le Mans 2008 because it was raining and then follow the winning car to the finish just to get in the photo as it crossed the line! The truth may now be that Audi have chosen not to race (and I find that hard to believe from what McNish has been saying lately) but maybe that's because they weren't expecting to be allowed to?
At the end of the day, Pugs are French and the ACO bend the rules something stupid to favour all French teams!
I remember my first Le Mans when I was sat at the (then very different) 'poo bar, and a guy came past with a Megaphone shouting "We'd like to thank the French for their help in the War!!!.... French Resistance??.........RESISTANCE MY ARSE!!!!" huh? so your pissed about a photo op?

gotta love the internet translator: Broken Peugeot Saturday… Like other teams, Peugeot Sport began its tests as of Saturday. The 908 HDi FAP n°07 however was victim of an accident during this meeting. On a very dirty track and by a very windy climate, Pedro Lamy left to the fauta, damaging the half-train back-right. More for fear of evil since the two lionesses are well of the part today… I think that means they fucked one up Saturday...   "Very dirty Track", "Very Windy conditions"  Whiners. Shut up and race. OK, I'm gonna tell you Audi guys just one more time. You don't prepare for the 24 Hours of Le Man by not racing. IF you had raced the R15 more LAST year maybe you would have found it's weakness' BEFORE the 24. That my friends, is what we call "Truth in 12". Grow a couple and get on with it!

Exactly right! AUDI where the hell are you hiding..in Homestead? Every team including the AUDI -Drama-Ulrich-mama's boys, had debut their cars with little or no test at all. This guys had been practicing since March 3? That's what they said...because they been hiding the car, is hard to believe. I can't believe they're running scare and most important the have turn their backs to their US fans. I can't wait for the 24hrs... It is a disgrace to keep supporting that team here in the states. One more thing..whats that stupid excuse to come run with an interim car. Thats' great! Since 2000..to whom the ACO had been bending the F****** rules?  |
