Grand Am rich-boy driver called the 'Madoff of Motorsports;'  many drivers may be victims of his Ponzi scheme.

You've only got to spend 5 minutes on sebringfans.com to realize that, while many of them may be knowledgeable fans, this race is mostly a drinking binge with some noisy cars in the background.
The focus (on that site) on alcohol consumption is really kind of depressing. I'm kind of amazed (and disappointed) that track management doesn't do anything to try and go a bit more upmarket.
If I wanted to hang with drunken louts I'd go to a British premier league game.

Yeah, interesting!  My racing buddy (Shrek) actually knew the guy who was a constant customer at his Verizon store buying the latest stuff, drove expensive stuff around town, talked about his two Lambos at home, waved around his AMEX BLACK card.  Said he was into hedge funds.  Looks like his hand was also in the cookie jar of lots of easy-to-con folks.   Wink  Ah ... some people have more money than brains!!!! uglystupid2  It will be interesting to see where this goes.   rolleyes
