HELL yeah we can ALL stay up if it was from 10am to 10am. OK maybe not, some can't do 10am to 10pm . But 3 in the afternoon.... DUDE I'm HAMMERED before the race BEGINS ......Finish at 3pm tomorrow????WHAT??? idiot2

Oh and one other thing what they don't tell you in the brochure......The French Gestapo will show up at your camp EVERYDAY to measure if you're within your bounds of 7m x 5m.    Good Lord, let's help you, should your car be parked 1 inch over!!!! You have to move it in. No good viewer mounds, no good ALL NITE parties......but hey who am I to stop you. Oh and they ALSO don't tell you in the brochure that NOTHING happens till the actual RACE. There is NO nite-practice, no time trials no qualifying.......NOTHING...due to the fact that part of the track is main highway thru France.... They get a few practice rounds day of the race but THAT'S IT.    FYI

Not entirely true there Sandy, there is night practice and daytime practice, it starts on wednesday from 18.00 - 20.00 and then from 22.00 till 24.00 hours, and that is repeated on the thursday. you are correct you did not see very much of it, cause we were wasted by that time and there is nothing going on on the friday. As for the race: Is there a race at Le Mans?HuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuhHuh idiot2

There is stuff going on Friday, but it's all in town. There is a driver parade, featuring local bands and scantily clad dancing girls. There is also a great museum there. Saturday morning before the 24 hours there is a vintage race.

The Poo Bar is apparently not the hot spot any longer either.  On Club Arnage they are voting for which bar for everyone to meet at.

Is there a race on ?

Best i have done is 5-6 hours in the 24.

The worst was 1 hour.

One year did 4 hours and 2 of those was in the bar watching on the TV while listening it outside.

Ha, Ha....that's why I camp on the fence at Sebring, that way I can say I watch almost all, cause it's in my front yard.

I did that for an ALMS race in downtown Miami before, sat in the bar at the Intercontinental Hotel and watched it on TV cause it was so darn hot (rain, another year) and the viewing locations were so darn terrible.  We found out that was a good way to get stuff from race connected people though, I got free drinks and then my husband did it the next day for the IRL race and got Winner's Circle access....came home with champaign and confetti all over him, and good pictures too.
