Now, I have a simple question about the ALMS championship. Is there a rule stating that you have to participate in a set number (or even percentage) of the races in a season to become champion?

Because, if not, than wouldn't that mean that, if no one shows up in GT1 anymore, the #4 Corvette has effectively won the championship this year?  huh

Got another one for you.

Could Corvette win both GT1 & GT2 in the same season?

 rolleyes

I'm going for mathematically possible, but highly improbable.

Shouldn't stop them from trying tho! ;-)

Technically yes, they will have won, but without anyone else entering thle class, the points are void. Should anyone else step up to GT1 before the end of the year, then Corvette will lose if they enter enough races and go past 70% distance. If Corvette would run one GT1 and one GT2 car, they could win both.
