« on: March 07, 2009, 07:24:51 am »

Right now I am in the pre production stage of putting together a short film called "Deceit in 12" (working title) I shouldn't give out too much about the film but I will say this, It will be a semi serious film about Sebring Fans and ALMS.
In order for me to pull this off I am asking for your help. My video camera crapped out on me and I am not able to get it repaired in time, but the friends I have joining me have about one half of a camera, so I am asking for any and all Sebring fans help.
We as Sebring fans should join together to make a film about Sebring fans? I love the individual footage from past years and the still photos are second to none. But I do have some ideas for this years 12 hour, I think it will be a HOOT!

                                                                                                                    Please respond
                                                                                                                    Gary

Best of luck with the production of your film but I'm sorry to inform you we've already done this. Thanks to Sutherland Productions we actually have 2 films about the 12hrs of Sebring at Turn 10. The first one was a private release and the second came out last year. But Good Luck.  Cool

True, and wonderful piece of work it is.  BUT ... there's a lot more to Sebring than Turn 10...

You don't understand, It's sort of a spoof on Truth in 24 and any one willing to contribute are more than welcome. for instance someone could do a candid inerview with team Impala with a rookie cub reporter. I feel the more people that get involved in this the better it will be. is anybody up for it

Clap Lori thank you,You have the spirit. All I need for the opening shots is for some one to do a drive by, across the front gates with a video camera, at different times of day. Lori you are perfectly poised to acomplish this. I shall meet you folks.

MAXX OTTO, Please don't get the wrong idea...I wasn't trying to deter you from making a film. Personally I don't think there can EVER be enough about Sebring out there. To quote "Louie" from our film "We wouldn't be here if it weren't somethin'. It's somethin'." This will be my 30th year to the 12hr. There's a good reason I attend each year and the biggest reason ain't the racing. It's to catch up with friends. People I've meet at the track that you just bond with and even though we don't see each other the rest of the year we look forward to seeing each other there or sometimes at Petit. So be sure to include as many from assorted camps as possible. Also you may want to get proper releases signed (so as to not get sued) should it go to production. I for one would be happy to sign the release and expect a free copy.  Kiss Again Good Luck! Happy filming. P.S. Try to make it more a PG rating or you'll really be in trouble...Hmmmm.

Gasblendergirl ie Sandy, I could not agree with you more. Believe me, it will be PG which dosn't necessarily it can't be enjoyable. As I speak I am uploading a video on youtube that I have put together from this past Fall Historic Classic. I used the generic movie maker that came with my OS. The file was still too large, so I had to re edit and condense it. I am using diffrent programs for this upcoming project, which are a whole lot better yet time consuming. But any hoo, let me know what yall think about it (and don't worry about hurting my feeling) critisism is always welcome, thats how we improve. By the way thank you for all your input. Ok heres the link.
