Why in the world would you not race in FIA/LM and not transition the car(GT2) to ALMS?  Aren't the rules more common in those two series than Grand AM's rules?

Yeah, I only own two Nissans, including a STILLEN 350Z.

Concur, it sez they hope to race Le Mans, which means ACO spec, which is ALMS - not Grand Crap.

Good note, if you sell cars against Porsche, and others (Toyota), why waste cash in pre-school (Grand Spam) versus going to being able to read/walk/write/have sex/race in a real series and sell cars?

Dear Nissan Corp, Japan
USE YOUR BRAIN!
Read a rulebook and then look at your bottom line....
What Series did you last win in? I believe it was IMSA.  There were fans at those events....

Ohhh, It appears I need to go back to GAA (Grand AM Anonymous)

(Glad I am in a good mood) Cool Cool Cool

Probably because the competition is out of this world in GT2. Porsche, Ferarri, BMW, Corvette, Panoz factory efforts...

If they were really smart they'd make it a GT1 car.

But then they'd be in the same position as Corvette ... just racing themselves.  From a fan's perspective, regardless of how loyal we are to the car/class, that's just not as exciting as having several marque's racing each other.

If they race GT2 against the best the world has to offer, and win, that's a selling point.

and if they lose? then their world beater isnt much of a world beater, is it? They're probably going to Grand am because it's a cheap way in.

It's FIA GT-1 only.
Yup - 2010-spec GT1 version has been testing in France with other FIA GT entries. According to the new FIA regulations, the car can ONLY be homologated for 1 class - so its going to be a GT1-only car alongside the 2010 Corvette and a few others.
