Hi,
Can anyone on here help me out with a project I am working on at the moment and plan to have finished in time for this years race.
I am looking for a good reasonable resolution picture (or two) that I can use of the start of the race. Ideally from the outside of turn one, looking down the start straight with the field of cars approaching the flag or the turn.
Obviously needs to be free of copy write issues or have the photographers permission to use it in a book.
Any and all help appreciated.
Thanks Regards Chris

I may have something you can use. Can you give me more details on the project?

I think Kyle or LeeSelf would be your best bet. some of the other photogs get pissy with other people using their shots.

I am doing a book on last years event using the Blurb.com booksmart software. 10 x 8 inche landscape format book, mainly photos but with a write up on the 12 hours itself and hourly positions, although i am short of positions for about 3 hours. Sections will include
Contents, Entry list with pictures of each car, Qualifying and practice, Drivers and pre race grid shots, 12 hours of Sebring race, Race pictures, Team Impala, Historic Trans Am, Campsites, Star Mazda Series, People and friends, Speed GT, La Bomba Sunset cruise, Speed Touring,
Probably about 140 - 160 pages in total.

How about this...I'll trade you some pictures for a copy of the book and photo credit?

SACK U,
I really like the new picture at the top of the forum, its a great shot and gave me an idea. Would you be interested in writing a page to advertise Sebringfans.com to go somewhere in the book project and perhaps that picture could be at the top of the page. Basically a brief on what Sebringfans is all about, what we do, how we meet up at Sebring etc.
Not sure who is going to read it, but there may be a few random people see the book on Blurb and buy a copy that don't know about Sebringfans.com.
Just an idea, what do you think and do you fancy writing something.
Regards Chris

I'll vouch for that! http://sebringpitcrew.home.att.net/cbring07/kini.htm(although these are mine, Kyle had a better position and a longer lens )

You've only got to spend 5 minutes on sebringfans.com to realize that, while many of them may be knowledgeable fans, this race is mostly a drinking binge with some noisy cars in the background. The focus (on that site) on alcohol consumption is really kind of depressing. I'm kind of amazed (and disappointed) that track management doesn't do anything to try and go a bit more upmarket. If I wanted to hang with drunken louts I'd go to a British premier league game. -the_stig, a ferrarichat.com douchebag

Writing would mean I had to think about what this whole mahem called SebringFans.com is about. I am not sure I am eloquent enough to explain it. anyone else want to give it a shot? SACK U,
