David Phillips winter test notes video still mentions a new GT2 manufacturer that he can't mention yet for 2009.

Murphy hints that Jaguar will be back with Paul Gentilozzi, but not until into the second half of the season.

Apparently an announcement concerning the new manufacturer will be made at Sebring.

Why does it not suprise me that it's Gentilozzi running behind that thing? I hated him back when he ran the jag in Trans Am and he's still nowhere near the top of my list of people i like. Although even i have to admit it might be interesting to see how well it can compete with the rest of the field. Not holding my breath though

I see an immediate Vette vs. Jag rivalry.
This should be good.
I think Team Corvette has an answer for thier fender bashing, car crashing style of competition.
I feel safe at saying Doug Fehan is thinking
' JUST BRING IT ON ! "

Doug Fehan's probably thinking "My cars better be in front of that other Corvette!"

We test drove the new XJR and XKR on Saturday and WOW, should be good competition. They had Gentilozzi's sedan they tested with in the Salt Flats for the presentation portion of the event. Very upscale. First we drove on the street then on the track (Palm Beach International Speedway/old Moroso). We drove a lap with our Professional Drive and then switched and they drove a lap. I was very impressed with the drivers, Roberto Guerrero was one and I drove with THE Davy Jones. Was great to talk about the Jag's racing in the late 80's, early 90's with the drivers.

I may have missed it, does anyone have an idea of who the prospective drivers of the Jag will be? Serious names. Then fun names.....

Well, I wouldn't be surprised if Gentilozzi himself would one of them. Kinda a given.
