If you have a rinky-dink digital camera like me.You can improve your race photos by turning the auto focus off.Manually focus on the "groove" where the cars run on the track.Then pan with the car as it goes by in the groove.Without the extra time it takes the camera to auto focus it will fire the shot almost instantly.Hopefully improving your images.

Adjust your ISO/or aperture to where you can shoot around 1-60th a sec.The slowest shutter speed you can shoot the better your chances of getting a blurry background, this really gives the car a sense of speed.

Go to your white balance menu and thumb through the settings to find the one that gives the best color saturation.

Turn 10 is a good spot for photos.The cars are really close and not going super fast.

I just hand the damn thing to Kyle and ask him to take the shots for me, then hop back over the fence and drink more beer.
