Hey All, I know you all hate Grand Am. But, I/we have our final race of the season tomorrow. It starts at 11AM MT (we're at Miller in UT), 1PM EST, 1000k or 7 1/2 hours, whichever comes first. We're on the pole! with the #07 (Paul Edwards qualified it) and the #06 starts 7th. Chances are we won't win the championship, the #66 has to finish 3rd ? and the 87 has to finish 9th ? for us to win it. Even if we don't win the championship though winning the race would be nice! It is going to be shown live on Speed TV. If you turn on the TV and happen to catch a stop the boss will be changing the front tires on the #07 and I am on fire bottle. Wish us luck even though it's GA.
Have a great weekend!
Anna

Hey, good luck! I know you guys work hard on your Pontiacs, and the competition there is tight. Winning a race is still winning a race.
Be safe!

Congrats on pole! I hope you guys do well today. Sadly I can't watch the race this weekend (stupid comcast) but I have it on my DVR for when I get home on Monday.

I may not care for the Grand Am format, but I envy and admire every racer and crew in every series. If racing was easy, everyone would do it. Congrats on your season

Got home from Vegas last night where we had our awards banquet. I'm glad it's only a two day trip, I don't really like Vegas. It was fun though and being a woman I like getting dressed up once in awhile. We finished second in the drivers championship and the manufacturers as well but we won the event in the GT class. That wasn't bad. :wink We'll see how next year goes.

You've only got to spend 5 minutes on sebringfans.com to realize that, while many of them may be knowledgeable fans, this race is mostly a drinking binge with some noisy cars in the background. The focus (on that site) on alcohol consumption is really kind of depressing. I'm kind of amazed (and disappointed) that track management doesn't do anything to try and go a bit more upmarket. If I wanted to hang with drunken louts I'd go to a British premier league game. -the_stig, a ferrarichat.com douchebag

And I'll bet they couldn't have done it without you, Anna! Congrats!

Very kind of you, thanks. We were fast all week and in every practice, we won the pole on Friday and led every lap of the race. There was an incident with a car that was laps down, they blocked us as we battled with the #85 Farnbacher Loles Porsche on the last turn of the last lap. We lost the lead briefly but got it back and won the race by 6.493 seconds in front of the second place car. All three cars were damaged after the incident. Afterwards rather than putting the car on a flatbed Brian had to drive the car backwards down pit road to the truck! (I'm trying to find video of the finish, I'd like to see it instead of just hearing about it.)

My DVR didn't work for some reason. I thought that I had it set up to record, but it only got 3 minutes. I did see the finish on the speed report. Very close, and looked interesting.
